By: Fusebox Marketing Date: 08/26/2020

Nashville, TN – John Stancil, President of Anchor Tours is pleased to announce the purchase of Brantley Charter, Inc in Lexington, TN. With the acquisition of the Lexington, TN business, Anchor Tours will now have 4 offices, the other three are located in Nashville, TN, Paducah, KY and Tuscumbia, AL. “Our two companies shared so many core values that the merger seemed natural,” stated John Stancil. If you were to draw a line to all four Anchor Tours locations, it forms a triangle of sorts with the Nashville home office of the company equidistant, via major highways, to each of our locations. “This is a natural extension of our business, making it possible to provide affordable services in the western part of the state, including Memphis,” adds Jared Stancil, company Vice President. “With these strategically located facilities, our offices can support each other to cover volume or unforeseen service interruptions, and our main Nashville garage can provide scheduled state-of-the-art maintenance rotating our equipment to all offices assuring safe transportation to our customers at all times.”

Founded within one year of each other, Anchor Tours and Brantley Charter share other qualities, including length of service. Both companies are family owned and run, both companies make customers their highest priorities and consider their office staff and drivers to be part of their families. Both companies operate MCI coaches and have serviced their equipment right on their premises to assure that they are always maintained to their high standards.

Brantley Charter, Inc has been owned and operated by Danny and Nancy Brantley since 1988. Their signature lilac coaches have been housed near their home where they could keep an eye on the business while also finding time to work their farm. With their children now grown, the Brantley’s have decided they would like to spend more time enjoying the fruits of their land. “This was a difficult decision for us,” stated Danny Brantley. “This business has been like one of our children and our customers and drivers are like family. However, when we met the folks at Anchor Tours whose company and corporate values so closely mirrored our own, we knew the Stancil’s and their team would continue to run the business and take care of our customers as we would.”

Bud Hale, an Anchor driver and manager formerly of the Tuscumbia office, is handling the day-to-day operations at the Lexington facility. Over the coming months the lilac motorcoaches will be rebranded to the sleek white exterior with red and black accents that make Anchor Tours coaches so easily identifiable. Just as Brantley Charter did, Anchor Tours will provide group transportation for church groups, schools, sports teams, and other groups along with shuttle service and other customized transportation needs. An exciting addition to the Lexington business will be the availability of the 25-passenger coaches that Anchor Tours also provides. “We are so pleased to be a part of this community,” Bud Hale states. “With established offices in Tuscumbia, AL and Paducah, KY, Anchor Tours enjoys a warm relationship in all the communities we serve, and we look forward to getting to know the folks in Lexington and the surrounding area and forging the same bonds as those formed by the Brantley’s,” Hale added.

Nashville, Tennessee based Anchor Tours, a family-owned company in operation since 1989, is dedicated to providing the safest group travel available in motorcoach transportation. With this acquisition, these transportation specialists now have four strategically chosen locations in the southeast to enable them to best serve their customers: Nashville, TN; Lexington, TN; Paducah, KY; and Tuscumbia, AL. Anchor Tours is certified by the Department of Defense – a higher level of safety certification that only 10% of motorcoach carriers qualify for – which certifies Anchor Tours to carry military personnel. The company operates 25-passenger mini buses, 55-passenger motorcoaches as well as an Executive Coach. In addition to working with the military, Anchor Tour specializes in serving student and church groups, meetings & conventions, collegiate groups, shuttle systems for special events, and executive/vip travel.
